Face Modelling PT1


Human Face
So, havent posted an update for some time now. But im currently doing lots of stuff at once, As usual.

Im currently learning face modelling for characters. This is by far the hardest stuff i have ever modelled. I have finished most of the face, but still needs alot of adjustments.

Im studying topology on the side and its really helping.

Kriss Update 2


Hi people, got a new update. Not really a whole lot to say about this one. Just finished the arm support peice, shoulder thingy. Anyhow, started with the rail and finished some minor parts that didnt make sense on the old model. Also added a fire mode switch and some cocking parts. This is supposed to be a game model and not a beauty. Im gonna start work with the sights after i finish the attachment rail. Thinking about if i want a holographic sight on there.

Just beacuse im THAT trendy with sights.
I mean you cant make a gun now a days and not have a holographic sight.

New weapon project.

So, its time for another weapon project, i got some inspiration after checking out racer445's portfolio, so i decided to make some sub-d sweetness.

This time its time for the Kriss Vector to step up. Here is the first WIP clay render.

EDIT: if you find any shading errors, thats beacuse im using floating geometry for normal map baking at a later stage.

KitchenScene Finished.




So basicly i finally call this project finished. Everything is tuned and the final render settings landed on.

Irradiance Map: Very High
Light Cache: 2500 Samples, 0.01 Sample Size and 16 passes.

AntiAliasing: Adaptive QMC/Michell Nevalli.

Thats about it really.....stupid watermark ruining my renders. But its gonna be like that for the rest of this blog. beacuse im sure as hell wont pay 964 dollars for a render application. I might have concidered it for 100 or 200 dollars. But no....i guess thats not the world we live in anymoore.

Anyhow here is the render ;) As you can see, the first one is kinda retuched with some exponent adjustment, god bless the Vray FrameBuffer! The second one is the original render ;). Enjoy.

KitchenScene PT6


Finally i have decided, im switching to english from now on. Just another way to broaden the none excisting audience. Anyhow, got a new kitchen scene update. I thought this would be final but i have some things i have to clean up first.

First one is the material of the skybox...a tip to anyone out there. If you aren't 100% sure about something, then dont change it just before the final render. For some reason i got the idea to change the skybox material to a VrayLight material. HUUUUUUGEEEEE mistake. I guess ill stil to assigning it as enviorment material. Or should i skip the HRDI all thogether? I mean is it going to matter in an interior scene like this?

Anyhow, the new render has following settings

Resolution: 1280x720p
Framebuffer: On.
Global Illumination First: Irradiance Map: High.
GI Second: Light cache: 1000 Subdivs, 8passes.

Kökscen PT5


Så ja, sista delen innan final render. Jag tycker denna var en av dom bästa. Mörkade nivåerna på trä texturen och satte på högre IOR (index of refraction) för att ge den mer reflektiv yta. Till min besvikelse bestämmde sig Vray för att sätta sin watermark på denna rendern. Varför vet nog bara gudarna, men en 38 min render bortkastad i alla fall.

Jobbat lite med en växt i krukorna på diskbänken, dock blev den för mörk. Felet är åtgärdat typ direkt efter denna rendern ;)
